How it all works

It is really very simple!  Here is the whole process.

You go to our secure order page and request that we provide you a toll-free number.  Your number will begin with 800, 877, or 866.

It takes about two business days (for USA and Canada calls) for you to receive your number.  It will be active the day you receive it.  Toll free numbers from other countries take a bit longer.

After the number is activated, any person dialing your toll free number from the United States, Canada, or other country, will be connected to your local phone number here in Costa Rica OR wherever you direct your call to be forwarded.  This can be any business, home or cellular phone.  It cannot be a public phone (pay phone).

You are billed only for the time you are on the phone and at the rate of $.15 per minute from the USA or Canada.  To see rates if you rediect your calls to other countries, click here. 

If the call ends before a full minute, you are billed in 6 second increments, so you don't waste money. 

When you sign up, you will be asked about your anticipated monthly usage.  Your credit card will be pre-authorized for this amount.  This does NOT mean that we charge your credit card.  We only reserve that much credit so we can charge the card at the end of the month.  You are charged only for what you use.

Charges are billed to your credit card, generally monthly, though perhaps more often if your charges exceed $150.00.

There is a $2.95 per month service charge.  This is charged whether you use the service or not.  This charge varies by country.  For example, a toll free number from the UK is $10.00 per month.  Check here for those rates.

If you do not use the service for 60 days, the account will be cancelled.  There is no cancellation charge.
